Growth for a Nine comes when you are willing to step outside of your own comfort zone. You fear making waves. You fear sharing opinions with others. Nines tend to agree with others just to keep the peace.

Growth Areas for the Nine:

  • The Nine fears separation. Find ways to take small steps toward growth in this area

  • Have a conversation with your anger

  • Take opinions and share them

  • Practice not always being the stable one in the boat. Go against your mantra of “Don’t rock the boat.”

  • Try seeing your true self

  • Take steps to develop and invest in yourself

  • Understand that the peace you seek is actually asserting yourself by sharing your talents and intelligence

DEVELOP A NEW MINDSET:

Current Mindset:

You always pride yourself in being open-minded because you want to avoid excluding others.

New Mindset:

What if you found more ways to use the perspective of others as a resource while still asserting yourself and sharing your own beliefs and opinions?

TAKING TIME FOR THE NINE:

  • Stop using self sabotaging behavior. It limits your happiness. As a Nine, your fear that your identity is directly connected to the presence of others influences your behavior. However, don’t forget that you are competent enough to function and be accepted on your own. There is no need to build your identity around pleasing others.

  • Creating a “grounding practice” when taking time for yourself can be very beneficial for types Four, Seven and Nine. First, relax. Then, complete the following series through journaling and/or pondering in your head:

    5 things you can see

    4 things you can feel

    3 things you can hear

    2 things you can smell

    1 wonderful thing about yourself
