Let’s just be real for a hot minute. Being vulnerable and true to yourself isn’t for the faint of heart. However, the more in tune with who you TRULY are, the more you realize authenticity isn’t so bad. It’s actually pretty damn amazing. “Authenticity” isn’t just the latest buzz word. It is becoming even more important than we once believed. Just a few quick things to note: when you are true to yourself you not only have better mental health, but also physical health, lower depression rates, and an even higher career success rate. I’ve researched it for a long time and I feel pretty darn confident that I have found my passion and my purpose (aside from being mom to those two amazing teen boys I call mine).

I’ve discovered over the past ten years or so that authenticity is a catalyst for change. The move that you are scared to make is the one that will change everything for you. Not being “you” isn’t just cheating yourself, but also cheating those who love and care about you. People deserve to know who you truly are, the opinions that you have, and the true life that you live. Being authentic means something. It, actually, means EVERYTHING. The power of shedding your masks and stepping into your true self can be life changing. Authenticity also has transformative power in the workplace. It is now shown to create customer connection, higher sales, and most importantly, customer loyalty.

I hope you will join me on my journey to share not only my story, but the pathway to leave audiences empowered to be difference makers in this ever-evolving world.
